It’s not all fun and games!

One would think…..ohhhhh….life on the open road….exploring new places…..camping….new friends….and then there is laundry day. Laundry Day is right up there with Town Day. You all can relate, laundromats are the same everywhere. The smell, the soap opera’s on the old tv, the old magazines! Love it?

The Florence laundromat was clean and affordable. It even came with showers for travelers. See the orange cushion on the chair? Emma, the cat, was supposed to be on duty, but she was off gallivanting. We didn’t even get to meet her.
This wall was covered with well wishes and thanks from patrons, and a memorial to the owner’s father who once ran a laundry service. Very sweet.

Tidbit: Enough whining already…back to hiking.

  1. Showers?? Nice!

You can throw ALL your laundry in the washer, ‘cept for your towel. After yer shower, chuck yer stuff in the dryer, and you’re all caught up!

Shoot, at night, might even be able to chuck the towel in the dryer too…

    1. Too funny! Laundry with showers are a mainstay, especially after a week or more camping in the outback.

  2. Your laundry day sounds like the time leap into a romantic vacuum- hypnotised by the monotone sound of the machines and smell of softeners and coffee. We enjoyed these days too. ! Especially when they had great working Wifi and the dryers reallydid a proper job. Now in Mexico… sometimes pieces are gone hoping to people in need , detergent use “the more the better”, no Wifi and always with great and friendly people. During your extended waiting time check out the street for great Taco or what else yummi food stands, there are always a couple.

    1. Sounds like you are having a good time. Don’t lose too many clothes…we don’t want you running around Mexico in the nude.
